Environmental Meeting on Wednesday October 1st
Dear Belmont Bay Concerned Citizen:
Please join us on Wednesday October 1st at 6:30 pm at the Belmont Elementary School ! An outstanding group of concerned citizens will give you an update, including:
- Ashley Studhome, Executive Director of the Prince William Conservation Alliance
- KP Lau, President of the Belmont Bay Homeowners Association; and
- Yours truly from the Concerned Citizens United for Belmont Bay on other local issues
Ashley will give us an overview of environmental issues in Prince William County, including the recent victories over Data Center developments in Western Prince William; their opposition to a minimal 50-foot setback for new development next to the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and also provide information on their Saturday, October 4th meeting honoring Dr. Jack Koojoomjian at the Harbour Grille, starting at 1:30 pm.
KP Lau will give us an update on the Miller and Smith Development plan and the Homeowners Resolution on the conditions to support the plan. Among the issues, the merging of the two HOAs into one master association in Belmont Bay will be discussed. I’ll give you an update on our neighborhood watch programs; our older communities; shopping center developments across Route One, and other issues important to our Peninsula.
We also have invitations to several live animal and raptor groups, so we are hoping to have them present as well.
If you have any questions or would like any additional information, please feel free to contact me by email or on my cell listed below. Thank you for caring about our community!
Sincerely,

Rob Hartwell
